in two months we’re going to be sitting in a dark theater and the screen will blacken, and music will swell, and we’ll see ‘lionsgate’ on the screen, and the movie will begin and none of us know what to expect at all. how will the film open? will it stay true to the book? we just don’t know, and we’ll be quivering in our seats, hanging onto each and every second, each scene, crying, laughing, screaming in our heads when prim is called. when katniss volunteers. when rue dies. when the mutts drag cato into the cornucopia. when peeta asks, “one more time for the audience?” and we think “i’m already losing the boy with the bread.”
